I am the founder of Pearls In Bloom, Godly Chitchat, and the creative behind LET’s TALK with my friend Teresa Ann. I am a woman who wears many hats with great humor: wife to an incredible man, mom to a hilarious and compassionate little boy, and a multi-dimensional artist. My work ranges from graphic design, designer of home décor goods and jewelry, sewing, painting, drawing, handmade dolls and toys, and so much more.
Since I was a little girl, both pearls and blooms of all types have held great meaning. I credit my grandmother’s love for pearls and handmade items as a great influence. My love for blooms (flowers of all kinds) includes a funny story. Even as a little girl, I began to explore my entrepreneurial side. Together with my sister (and a shoulder push from our mom) we would go dumpster diving behind a local floral shop. Plant and flower castaways were creatively gathered and re-imagined into beautiful little arrangements. I would walk down my block quickly selling out of my twenty-five-cent blooms; knowing I would bloom into incredible significance.
I have loved God since I was a little girl. Through a series of difficult phases in life, my faith in God—who heals and restores—has been my anchor. Above all, my desire is that others will experience God’s presence through my work and friendship and they too will want to draw closer to the original, ultimate creator and friend.
In this blog post, I share briefly part of my journey through cancer and Chase’s medical issues.
